Looking forward to experiencing the evolution of sound from this band of my relative youth… coming soon to a spring-like time near me.

Throwback Track Thursday: “Ease Your Mind” – Wide Mouth Mason
Post-holiday work day melancholy.
Tune of the Tuesday: “This Too Shall Last” (Stripped) – Anderson East
To have most of the beautiful instrumentation stripped away really showcases the emotion Anderson East gives to the lyrics of this song. Powerful and potent.
Tune of the Tuesday: “Dangerous Heart” – Joey Landreth
One of many great tunes… his guitar solos live with his vocal range are beautiful!
Tune of the Tuesday: “Lula” – Bocephus King & Flophouse Jr.
The title track of Bocephus King’s latest album has a guitar intro that takes me back to auditory memories of Roxette’s “Joyride”, adding a modern, worldly beat to create a track that gets played often.
Throwback Track Thursday: “Stay With Me” – Sam Smith
Because tonight was the first time I was fortunate to hear Sam Smith sing live. His voice is incandescent!
Throwback Track Thursday: “Today I Sing The Blues” – Aretha Franklin
Goodbye, Aretha. Today is blue.
Tune of the Tuesday: “House is a Building” – Anderson East
The knowledge of experience that an artist sounds even better live than on a studio track is a wonderful thing to possess. August 12, 2018 was the first time I have witnessed Anderson East perform live. Hopefully, it will not be the last. I love leaving shows wishing I had another show by that artist to go to already, regular life circumstances not being a barrier to non-stop live music enjoyment!
