Some days you just want a melancholy guitar.
Throwback Track Thursday: “Gravity” – John Mayer
My cousin recently asked me what John Mayer song I’d always want on his setlist. There are many, of course, but this is definitely one of my favourites of all my favourites.
Throwback Track Thursday: “All On My Mind” – Anderson East
Great song for a morning commute.
Throwback Track Thursday: “Marianne (20 000 Acres of Moonlight)” – The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer
Can’t stop thinking about last weekend’s amazing trio of shows!
Tune of the Tuesday: “Treat Me Kind” – The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer
Hearing Shawn Hall sing this live, three different times over three days… beautifully, sonically sublime.
Tune of the Tuesday: “This Too Shall Last” (Stripped) – Anderson East
To have most of the beautiful instrumentation stripped away really showcases the emotion Anderson East gives to the lyrics of this song. Powerful and potent.
Throwback Track Thursday: “Sugarcane” – Wide Mouth Mason
Old school grooves always rule my musical heart.
Tune of the Tuesday: “Dangerous Heart” – Joey Landreth
One of many great tunes… his guitar solos live with his vocal range are beautiful!
Tune of the Tuesday: “Lula” – Bocephus King & Flophouse Jr.
