Prior to a Kim Churchill show, the sound person was playing so many tracks from Kurt Vile’s 2015 album that after shazamming them all, I had to buy the whole album. This track is particularly catchy.
Because not only does the world always need more kindness… the lyrics and chords just make this song so much more! Glad for new Frank Turner music, can’t wait until the whole album is released!
Enjoying the evolution of sound from 5SOS, particularly the addition of keys, which goes a bit more pop than past albums but is still a song you can easily see performed by the band themselves, with instruments live as opposed to singing relegated to a backing instrumental production track.
This song just gets better when performed live!
I bought this song off of iTunes not really knowing who the song was by. It was the intro of sparse guitar chords that drew me in. To have the song evolve into a melodic dance rhythm with the guitar tying everything together, it’s a song that is hard to get out of one’s mind once you’ve heard it a few times. Such as it is for me, in any case. I can’t say that I know all the lyrics per se, but I’ve now come to associate those particular guitar chords played at that specific tempo as an introduction to this song.
The reggaeton beats of this song are addictive. The chorus is catchy. The featured artists help take the song into a more urban audience. Love this song!
I. Love. This. Song. I am admittedly more of a music person more than a movie person. Such that there are movie soundtracks that I have purchased in a physical and/or digital format where I had not yet watched the movie the music was to accompany. Including many movies where I have listened to the soundtrack many times over but have ceased an interest in watching the movie itself. “Rewrite The Stars” is not from one of those movie soundtracks, but my plans to watch the movie “The Greatest Showman” are on hold until I find enough time to lose myself in what looks to be a beautifully filmed musical from all the trailers and previews I have seen. This song in particular is what I want to see visualized as the lyrics are so poignant, so full of emotion that I want to see how the actors behind this duet made the words live in their actions. I cannot stop listening to this song and the entire soundtrack.
